Marchers gathered on International Women's Day in Washington, D.C., to protest the wage gap, support unions, and demand a higher minimum wage. The event, known as Working Women Rising, was hosted by One Billion Rising and featured speakers as well as dances, singing, poetry, and other artistic performances.

To The Contrary was at an International Women's Day rally which criticized the Global Gag Rule, reinstated by President Donald Trump. The rule cuts off funding for international women's health organizations which provide information about abortions.
