The Infiltrators is a docu-thriller that tells the true story of two young immigrants who get detained by Border Patrol - on purpose - and put in a shadowy for-profit detention center. Marco and Viri are members of the National Immigrant Youth Alliance, a group of radical Dreamers who are on a mission to stop deportations. And the best place to stop deportations, they believe, is in detention.

Opens with Marco recalling how “[they] called Broward a ‘model’ detention center.” Introduces Mohammad, who explains why Broward was an ideal site for targeted immigration activism.

Mohammad is a DREAMer who came to the United States from Iran at age 12. This clip shows the variety of tactics and strategies Mohammad and other DREAMer youth used to loudly and visibly protest deportation policies, in spite of the fear of being deported by ICE.

Organizers prepare for Viri’s detention. Viri explains why she volunteered to infiltrate. Her first attempt is unsuccessful.

The clip treats us to portions of a live performance of the “Papa’s Time Machine,” the show that Maleoon has created to help preserve father-son memories.

When artist Maleonn realizes that his father suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, he creates “Papa’s Time Machine,” a magical, autobiographical stage performance featuring life-size mechanical puppets. Through the production of this play, the two men confront their mortality before time runs out and memories are lost forever.
