To close out the 30th anniversary celebrations, POV will curate its first-ever documentary marathon! Premiering on public television’s WORLD Channel, the binge-worthy marathon will showcase films from POV’s rich and diverse history of character-driven stories over a 24-hour period. Kicking off on New Year's Eve, the marathon will also run 30 films for 30 days on the POV website.

From a historic genocide trial to the ousting of a president, 500 YEARS tells a sweeping story of mounting resistance played out in Guatemala's recent history, through the actions and perspectives of the majority indigenous Mayan population, who now stand poised to re-imagine their society.

A vital and influential exploration of the rapid militarization of the police in the United States.
