U.S. deports hundreds of Venezuelans under 18th century law

Nearly 300 Venezuelans are now in El Salvador after being deported from the U.S. without a hearing, despite a federal judge’s order blocking the move. The Trump administration says they are members of a notorious gang called Tren de Aragua and summarily deported them under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.
