In Memoriam: Diahann Carroll

After her film debut in “Carmen Jones” (1954), Carroll made her Broadway debut in “House of Flowers” (1958), winning a Best Actress Tony Award for “No Strings” (1962). She made history with the 1968 television series “Julia.”
