KCTS 9 and Crosscut are becoming Cascade PBS

Welcome to Cascade PBS, where KCTS 9’s nearly 70 years of award-winning local television comes together with the deeply reported investigative journalism of Crosscut by joining under the most trusted name in media: PBS. 

Don’t worry, KCTS 9 and Crosscut have been part of the same family for several years — our name is changing, but the local, national, and international programming you love isn’t going anywhere!

The Cascade PBS name reflects two important things: the regional community we serve, and the quality PBS programming and local news you rely on.  

What this means for you

We’ll keep delivering high-quality public television that entertains, informs, and inspires. Our newsroom continues its investigative journalism and news reporting with the same care and skill as always.

Our video app, previously known as World’s Best TV, is changing to Cascade PBS for more consistency across all the ways you watch us. The app offers the same high-quality content and viewing experience you’ve come to expect. Learn more about the Cascade PBS app here. 

As KCTS 9 and Crosscut come together as Cascade PBS, you’ll begin to see our new name here and there, including online at our current web addresses, KCTS9.org and Crosscut.com and in our email newsletters. Watch for a new CascadePBS.org website to debut next spring, where you’ll be able to find all our content—both regional news and our PBS and locally curated programming—in one place.
